Overlooking Riverside Park, the Urban Ecology Center offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forests along the Milwaukee River. Your guests will enjoy taking a stroll in the park, exploring our award-winning, eco-friendly building, and admiring the view from our second-floor deck and tower.

Whatever your event entails, the Urban Ecology Center is uniquely equipped to provide the perfect backdrop for your day.

We couldn't imagine a better ceremony or reception setting - the outdoor ceremony location was so gorgeous with such a small amount of decor and was so easy for our guests to access. The walk back to the reception was beautiful... The building was perfect for a reception - people looking for a quieter atmosphere or to do the activities could be upstairs and the dancing was downstairs."

"Getting married at the Urban Ecology Center was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! The beautiful venue offered an indoor and outdoor space for our guests right in the heart of the city. Only a 7-minute drive from downtown, guests could easily get to and from their accommodations and venue. Another added bonus of having our wedding at the UEC was the amazing staff! They were so helpful and informative when it came to wedding logistics and vendor suggestions. We also loved their environmental responsibility towards waste--it was in complete alignment with our philosophy. Overall, this was a fabulous venue choice and our guests had a great time!"

Ample Parking

Our parking lot accommodates 80 vehicles and neighborhood street parking is widely available.

Riverside Park and Washington Park only

In-house sound speaker system, portable PA, projectors, and microphones.

We offer use of our wireless network throughout the building and to all guests.

Commercial Grade Kitchen & Appliances

This includes commercial appliances, a variety of small kitchen electrics, and a large variety of serving utensils, cooking utensils, pots, pans and place settings.

Riverside Park and Washington Park only

Furniture

We offer tables and chairs to accommodate seating for 175 people, including the use of our gorgeous handcrafted La Lune tables and chairs as well as 8’ banquet tables and stackable plastic chairs.

Onsite Rental Staff

Two rental staff members will be present throughout the duration of your event to answer any last minute questions and assist with facility-related details.

Our sustainability guidelines help to lower the amount of waste produced in our Centers, support local businesses, and teach others about how they too can make more environmentally conscious choices.
